How Crown Leather Began

Just a girl with a passion for horses, and a desire to build the best quality horse tack on the market. It began back in the early 90’s as a hobby, and a way to supplement my income as a teenager. I enjoyed building nylon tack for myself and fellow barrel racers. I had always loved creating and designing new things for my horses. This set us apart from what could be bought in the stores. I stopped building tack when I had to move out on my own and get a real job. It was right after the 9/11 attack in 2001 that I decided to get back into the industry. I started back as a reseller for majors saddle companies, and tack lines. This was great for a few years, but quickly others caught on and figured they would do the same thing, but undersell me to the point where it wasn’t working anymore. By 2005, I was finally able to get the equipment that I need to start making leather tack. I had no clue what I was doing really, but I learned only through trial and error, and lots of failures and wasted money. I was finally able to find some great suppliers for the best quality leather, and  supplies. I began designing my own tack lines in 2006 and have tried my best to create a new style every year since.
I would not be here today if it wasn’t for all of you!!! The support you have given me, and continue to give me keeps me going, and I appreciate each and every one of you so very much!
